FABulous Farmers exchange: Pilot region de Merode

Come and visit pilot region de Merode and Hooibeekhoeve (Belgium)!

During this FABulous Farmers exchange farmers and project partners are welcome in de Merode. During the 2-day-event we will visit Hooibeekhoeve, a practical research dairy farm of the province of Antwerp and project partner of FABulous Farmers. We will also visit the trial fields with soil-related FAB-measures like crop rotation, cover crops and reduced tillage, and some farms located in the pilot region.

On Monday we will end the day with a nice dinner in the city Geel.

Program

7 November 2022

• 12 PM arrival and lunch
• Visit Hooibeekhoeve (practical research dairy farm)
• Visit trial fields about crop rotation and reduced tillage
• Visit arable farm in de Merode (potatoes, carrots, onions)
• Diner
• Overnight stay in Geel (2240)

8 November 2022

• Visit beef farm in de Merode
• Lunch
• Visit trial fields about cover crops and fodder beets
• 15 PM departure back home
