'As an arable farmer, you can do quite a bit for nature,' says Brabant-based Van der Spelt at the kitchen table. 'I understand that there is an increase in scale, that is what the market wants, but this affects biodiversity. One specie increases, other species decrease.'

The arable farmer wants to take responsibility for helping explore what is possible himself. 'You can't say 'no' without investigating whether or not it can be done.' That is why he participates in the FABulous Farmers project.
