Implementing FAB measures doesn’t only benefit farmers by reducing reliance on external inputs like chemical fertilisers and plant protection products, it also benefits the environment. To measure the environmental performance of FAB solutions we’ve created a report, which:
- Reviews methods to measure the environmental performance of FAB solutions. The focus is on biodiversity, soils and water quality;
- Identifies scientific approaches that could be used at the farm level and implemented by farmers or advisors;
- Determines whether and potentially how these measurement approaches could feed into and support regional or national monitoring.
